There are still two weeks left to apply for the upcoming Data Science for Social Good (DSSG) program in 2024 offered by the University of Munich.

What is DSSG?

Data Science for Social Good (DSSG) is a two-month summer program where two teams of fellows collaborate on real-world data science projects, aiming to create a meaningful impact for the social good.

  • Duration: 2-month summer program, running from August 1 to September 30, 2024.
  • Location: University of Munich (LMU), Germany.
  • Who can apply: Graduates, PhD students, Master's students, or Bachelor's students nearing the end of their studies. We welcome diverse, interdisciplinary teams. Regardless of your background -whether it's in data science, social sciences, or another field - if you are passionate about data science, coding, and making a positive impact, your application is a perfect fit.
  • Application Deadline: February, 2nd, 2024

What we expect

  • Full-Time Commitment: Dedicate your time full-time for the program's duration.
  • In-Person Presence: Attend on-site in Munich, Germany (the program will NOT be conducted virtually).
  • Visa or Citizenship: Hold a visa or citizenship for the duration of the program (we are happy to provide any necessary confirmation/invitation letters).
  • Skills and Expertise: Possess skills in machine learning, data science, or coding, as well as in the natural or social sciences (no need to be a coding wizard).
  • Good English Skills: The program will be conducted in English.
