The University of Vienna Data Stewards are ready to mingle with everyone at International Love Data Week! Our team consists of four awesome full-time Data Stewards and an intrepid Data Steward Coordinator. Here’s what you can expect if you come to “Love Your Data (Steward): Volume 2”.

First, we’ll give a 20-minute presentation about how our team is structured and what we’ve been working on for the last 18 months. Spoiler alert- we’ve been beefing up our RDM training catalog and have been focusing heavily on providing discipline-specific support for our Ph.D. candidates. We also need to tell you about the Data Steward Certificate programme offered by the University of Vienna. It’s pretty cool.

Then, everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to join a break-out room of their choosing:

• Our Life Sciences Data Stewards (Emily and Michael) and our Humanities Data Steward*esse*s (Monika and Korbinian) will be available to answer questions about discipline-specific data stewardship and their daily work.
• Our Data Steward Coordinator (Tereza) will also be available to chat about the Data Steward Certificate programme and how our team is situated within the university structure.
• You’re also welcome to switch between rooms at any time.
• You can even talk with all of us!

This session is open to anyone with questions about how to better manage data, individuals considering a career in data stewardship, and folks who have questions about bringing data stewards into a team! Please note that registration is required, but also possible on very short notice.
