Application submitted - next steps

  1. The application including all relevant documents will be entered into u:cris. However, these data are kept strictly confidential and are accessible only by the applicant themselves and a small circle of administrative staff.
  2. Please inform us of the funding agency's decision as soon as you receive it. In case of a favourable decision, the faculty requires the funding contract as well as the definite start date; in case of a negative decision, please provide the date of rejection. These data and documents will also be archived in u:cris.
  3. Successful applications are recorded in u:cris as "Grants" (and subsequently as "Projects"). The grant entry is the basis for the creation of an Innenauftragsnummer (IAN, i.e. internal order number) by Accounting and Finance. The IAN (which is necessary for the financial administration of your project via univie's account), as well as other relevant information, will be mailed to you by Accounting and Finance, usually about a month before the start date.
  4. Currently, FWF funding contracts for ESPRIT and Schrödinger grants are processed through a system called sProof. In order to sign electronically, an AustriaID is required. Further information can be found here: Intranet: FWF Specifics.
