The Faculty's Third Party Funding Services offer support in the following areas:

- Advice and support in the preparation of, and application for, projects

- Support with calculating project costs

- An interface for other university services (e.g. the university's central research services, finance and controlling, human relations and gender equality, etc.)

- Informative events about various grant programmes of our research areas

News

In-house deadline for FWF-1000 Ideas and ERC CoG programmes

Due to the holiday season, the faculty's in-house deadline for these two programmes is December 15, 2024. This applies to the check of applications for the 1000 Ideas programme, and the issuing of a faculty statement for ERC CoG. In the latter case, please calculate a preliminary handling time of 2 weeks if you are likely to be affected by §109 ("chain contracts") since it requires a more extensive review!

Reminder:

FWF Open Access block grants are now handleded centrally at Univie!

As per 2024-01-01, the FWF has transferred the processing of FWF Open Access publication costs to Univie. Therefore, open access related costs incurred within the framework of FWF projects are no longer reimbursed by the FWF, but are paid directly by Univie's Open Access Office (openaccess.univie.ac.at/fwf/).

Such costs should not be paid personally since they are now defrayed centrally on application with the Open Access Office (openaccess.univie.ac.at/en/foerderantrag-fwf).
